On August 13th & 14th of 2005 Jazz Alley TV & MauiFEST Hawai'i sponsored a fundraiser at the historic Iao Theater in Wailuku. The event Featured Maui's own Sam Khong, who fled from Cambodia over 30 years ago and rediscovered his family back in his native land.

Sam is dedicated to building a school for the children of Cambodia and for his village. This fundraiser/ Film Festival helped raise awareness of Sam Khong's mission, showcasing 6 films over 2 nights, including local entertainment as well as local kine food from "Sam Sushi".
